2016 Most Magnificent Mom: 'My kids are my No. 1 priority'

MOLINE -- It’s all about openness. That’s the key to a healthy mother-daughter relationship for Jessica Wasson and her teenage daughter, Hailee.

“We keep an open-door policy. We’re not always perfect, but we are flexible. Hailee can tell me anything, and that takes the place of slamming doors and typical 13-year-old behaviors,” said Ms. Wasson, 35, of Moline, who has been named the 2016 Most Magnificent Mom of the Quad-Cities by Dispatch/Argus readers.
